My role in the families' lives is multifaceted. There are times I speak to them like a father giving them advice, or a straightforward friend, or a passerby teacher giving them a dose of remedy, whether it be a difficulty in Math or a problem in Reading. My job's main focus is to connect what the Foundation is offering with the rising needs of families regarding education, particularly in dealing with numbers. It is also a vital part of my job to create a harmonious environment between parents and teachers so the teaching-learning process occurs smoothly.

Being a social worker in an NGO is challenging yet fulfilling at the same time. Challenging because this is my first time working in the community, doing house visits, coordinating with the barangays, etc. But it is fulfilling for me because I get to see the children's happy faces whenever they have coaching sessions with their teachers. It also makes me happy that I got to share my talents with the team and experiences from my previous job, which are essential to the foundation. Being able to help the children and their families will surely have a great impact in their future, and it makes me proud that we became part of these children’s future success.

As a teacher, I encourage families to set and work toward goals. By inspiring them to dream big, teachers show the families that they can change their lives by their own efforts, especially when they are showing commitment to the program.

I joined the AELF to have work and, at same time, continue learning. And it's an opportunity to contribute or impart my knowledge to the children, especially at quite an early stage of their lives. As a teacher in the community, my role is to be a guide and mentor. I believe, however, the most important part of my role is to help every child discover their own potential and find their own path.

I am a facilitator of learning between the parents and their children. On one side, AELF teachers are helping parents become better mentors for their children. On the other side, the program helps children excel in different areas of their lives.

I decided to join the foundation to enhance my expertise in teaching, have confidence to communicate with people, and impart my knowledge to children. Being a parent is an important role in life. How do you deal with problems, especially the development of a child? How do you have time to teach them for their future? So I'm happy to just be able to impart my knowledge to the parents to help them be their children's first teachers.

In the community, most parents focus on finding money for their daily needs and don't have much time for their children. So the foundation is like a bridge that reconnects parents and children, highlighting the first purpose of parents as the first teachers of their children.

Teachers need dedication to shape the skills and attitude of their students. The core of my job is to create a positive connection between parent and child, helping build a relationship and excellent learning environment at home and school.

My role in the families' lives is to bring happiness and positivity in learning Mathematics at an early age. And we also help the parent and child create a strong and valuable bond not only during the Proper Coaching Sessions but also in their respective home lives. I am blessed and grateful for being a part of the AELF Family in helping each child to succeed in life and be a catalyst of positive change.

I honestly believe that my role as a teacher is to motivate the families to give their full support in their child's future by sending them to school, and the children to do better in their studies and always learn new things. In my point of view, teachers have the most important job in the world. Those who make a positive impact on society’s children have the power to change lives, not just of the children themselves, but of everyone around them as well.

Among my dreams and goals in life is to be able to teach more, to touch the lives of more families and kids, and share the importance of education. Because for me, even though some people say you don't really need an education to earn money… I believed it when our parents said "Education is the only treasure that can't be stolen.

Being a part of the foundation gives me a rewarding feeling. To see that I have a part in molding a good future for these kids in the community, who may soon bring positive changes in our country, makes me feel fulfilled. My role in these families' lives is to teach, empower, and motivate them to support their kids in the academic aspects of their child’s development because it is through education that we can make changes towards a better future.

I would describe the role I'm playing in the beneficiaries’ lives as a bridge or stepping stone towards success. In my opinion, my job of helping families, especially the children, is essential for the community. Why? Because it is only through education that these children will get the opportunity to have a brighter future and become successful later in life. I am forever grateful to be part of Arcanys Early Learning Foundation because it motivates me to become a better person by serving the community.

As a teacher, we're not just here to simply educate. What makes our job so important for the community is that we help shape it. We show today's youth the power of education and give them a glimpse… that possibility of a better future. Aside from that, we are also the source of inspiration and motivation. We inspire not just the students to do well, but also the parents to persevere and be supportive, and that brings great impact on the community.
